Bermuda is where most cruises from Philadelphia go. This schedule has 49 Bermuda sailings, from 21 November 2026 to 24 August 2028, and every one is a Norwegian Cruise Line round trip that docks at the Royal Naval Dockyard, at the west end of the island.

On 3 November 2026 fares ran from $549 to $1,149 per person, for the cheapest cabin listed with two sharing, taxes and port fees included. Most of the trips follow one Thursday-to-Thursday pattern, so the real choice is the year, which decides the ship. The table at the end of this guide lists every sailing.

How long is a Bermuda cruise from Philadelphia?

Most are 7 nights, Thursday to Thursday. The ship leaves Philadelphia at 4pm, docks at the Royal Naval Dockyard at 10am on Saturday, stays the night, sails at 4pm on Sunday, calls at Norfolk, Virginia, on Tuesday and is back at 8am. A few fall and winter trips last 5 nights.

These times come from the itineraries on sale. The Thursday sailings in 2027 and 2028 share them.

PhilaPort says guests leave the ship between about 7:00am and 9:30am. A Thursday-to-Thursday week takes in one weekend, so it needs five weekdays off work, or six with the return Thursday.

Two dates differ. Norwegian Gem's first trip, on 20 April 2028, reaches Bermuda at 11am. Norwegian Pearl's trip of 2 April 2028 leaves on a Sunday, stays in Bermuda from 11am on Tuesday to 4pm on Wednesday and calls at Norfolk on Friday.

How much time do you get in Bermuda on a cruise from Philadelphia?

About 30 hours on the Thursday trips, from 10am on Saturday to 4pm on Sunday, with the ship docked overnight. Some fall and winter trips stay longer: a few arrive on a Monday morning and leave on Wednesday afternoon, about 52 hours by our arithmetic.

The Thursday trips are in Bermuda on a Saturday and a Sunday, so the island's weekend timetables apply. Ferries to Hamilton run less often than on weekdays, and on the 2026 timetable the ferry to St. George's did not run on Sundays. The sections below give the times.

What is the difference between the 2027 and 2028 Bermuda cruises from Philadelphia?

Mainly the ship. Norwegian Pearl sails the 2027 Thursday trips and Norwegian Gem the 2028 ones, on the same days, with the same Norfolk call. Norwegian lists Pearl as built in 2006 and refurbished in 2025, for 2,344 guests, and Gem as built in 2007 and refurbished in 2026, for 2,388.

On 3 November 2026 Pearl's 7-night Bermuda trips started at $549 per person and Gem's at $899, for the cheapest cabin listed with two sharing, taxes and port fees included. Gem's Bermuda weeks run from 20 April 2028 to 24 August 2028.

The ship pages for Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Gem list each one's sailings. After its Bermuda trip of 2 April 2028, Pearl leaves Philadelphia for Barcelona on 9 April 2028, which our Europe page covers.

Does every Bermuda cruise from Philadelphia stop in Norfolk?

No. Most of the Thursday trips call at Norfolk, Virginia, from 8am to 6pm on the Tuesday. Two swap it for a port further north, and the short fall and winter trips sail to Bermuda and back with no other stop.

The two exceptions keep the same Bermuda times. Norwegian Pearl's trip of 13 May 2027 calls at Boston from 8am to 7pm, and Norwegian Gem's trip of 11 May 2028 calls at Portland, Maine, from 9am to 6pm.

Visit Norfolk, the city's visitor bureau, puts Norfolk's cruise terminal, the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center, on the downtown waterfront at 1 Waterside Drive. It shares the site with Nauticus' Maritime Discovery Center and the Battleship Wisconsin.

Which Bermuda cruises from Philadelphia have no other stop?

The fall and winter trips. They leave on different days of the week, sail to the Royal Naval Dockyard and come straight back. They include the only Bermuda sailings here shorter than a week, and the ones with the longest stays on the island.

The trips of 6 and 13 November 2027 spend one night in Bermuda instead of two and have four days at sea: three on the way home on the first, three on the way out on the second. On 3 November 2026 the 5-night trips started at $719 per person, for the cheapest cabin listed with two sharing, taxes and port fees included. Our short cruises guide has more on them.

Where does the cruise ship dock in Bermuda?

At the Royal Naval Dockyard, at the west end of the island, on every Bermuda sailing on this schedule. Norwegian's Bermuda page says its ships dock there. Hamilton is a ferry or bus ride away, and St. George's, at the east end, a longer one.

The Government of Bermuda runs two bus routes between Hamilton and Dockyard. Route 7 goes by the South Shore beaches, the lighthouse and Somerset, and route 8 by Middle Road, Waterlot Inn and the Clock Tower Mall. On the bus timetable effective 19 September 2025, route 7 averaged 37 minutes from Dockyard to Horseshoe Bay and 62 minutes to Hamilton.

How do you get from Dockyard to Hamilton on a weekend?

By the Blue Route ferry, which takes about 30 minutes, or by bus route 7 or 8, about an hour. On the summer 2026 timetable the ferry left Dockyard seven times on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:15am to 6:30pm, with three more evening trips on Saturdays only.

These were the weekend Blue Route times on the summer timetable effective 6 April 2026. The 2027 and 2028 timetables were not out when we checked on 3 November 2026, so read them as the pattern, not a promise.

The Saturday evening boats suit the Thursday sailings, because the ship stays overnight: you could have dinner in Hamilton and take the 9:30pm back. On Sunday the ship sails at 4pm. The 2:45pm from Hamilton turns round at Dockyard at 3:30pm, which leaves no margin, so the 1:15pm is the safer return.

On Sundays and holidays the 2025 bus timetable ran routes 7 and 8 every 30 minutes for most of the day.

Trips in November and December come in the winter timetable period. On the winter timetable that took effect on 2 November 2026, weekend Blue Route boats leave Dockyard at 9:45am, 11:15am, 12:45pm, 2:45pm, 4:15pm and 5:30pm. On weekdays it adds 8:00am and 9:15am.

Can you get to St. George's from the cruise ship?

Yes, on a Saturday in summer, by the Orange Route ferry. On the summer 2026 timetable it left Dockyard on Saturdays at 9:30am, 11:30am, 3pm and 5pm, and left St. George's at 10:30am, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. It did not run on Sundays, and the winter timetable from 2 November 2026 has no Orange Route.

The Bermuda Tourism Authority describes the Orange Route as a fast ferry from the westernmost point of the island to the easternmost. On a Thursday sailing, Saturday is the day to take it. The ship docks at 10am, the 11:30am ferry goes out, and the 6pm boat brings you back with the ship still in port for the night. The Bermuda Tourism Authority calls the route seasonal, from May to October, while the 2026 summer timetable began on 6 April, so check the dates if you sail in April.

On Sunday, or on a winter trip, take the bus: route 7 or 8 into Hamilton, then route 10 or 11 to St. George's. The government says a transfer between bus routes is free if you take the next scheduled bus on the connecting route.

How much do Bermuda's buses and ferries cost?

An adult ferry ride from Dockyard to Hamilton or St. George's cost $5.00 cash on the government's fares, read on 3 November 2026, the same as a bus ride of more than three zones. A pass for unlimited buses and ferries cost $19.00 for one day and $31.50 for two. Children under 5 ride free.

These are from the government's fares page and its winter ferry timetable, read on 3 November 2026.

The Visitor Information Centre at Dockyard sells tokens and passes. Cash fares take exact change in coins, and the government says drivers do not make change. Passes run on consecutive days, so a 2-day pass covers the Saturday and Sunday of a Thursday sailing. Four ferry rides in cash come to $20.00 by our arithmetic.

When is hurricane season for Bermuda cruises from Philadelphia?

NOAA's National Hurricane Center gives the Atlantic hurricane season as 1 June to 30 November, with the peak on 10 September and most activity between mid-August and mid-October. The April and May Thursday sailings come before the season, and the December trips after it.

The Thursday sailings from mid-August and the 5-night trip of 2 September 2027 fall in the stretch the center says is most active. The late October and November trips are still inside the season. Our Philadelphia cruise season guide shows what leaves in each month.

Do you need a passport for a Bermuda cruise from Philadelphia?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says U.S. citizens on a closed-loop cruise, one that starts and ends at the same U.S. port and stays in the Western Hemisphere, may come back with a government-issued photo ID and proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate. Norwegian still recommends a passport for every guest, because Bermuda is a British territory.

CBP also warns that the countries a ship visits may ask for a passport. If you had to leave the ship in Bermuda and fly home, CBP says U.S. citizens need a passport to enter the United States by air from Bermuda, and the passport card is not accepted for international air travel. Our cruise documents guide has the rest.

Which cruise lines sail to Bermuda from Philadelphia?

Only Norwegian Cruise Line, on this schedule. PhilaPort's release of 2 December 2025 says the cruise brands of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings operate as Philadelphia's exclusive homeport lines under a berthing agreement running from 15 April 2026 to 31 March 2033.

One Caribbean trip also stops in Bermuda. Norwegian Pearl's 11-night sailing of 28 March 2027 spends a night at Dockyard, from 10am on Tuesday to 1pm on Wednesday, before Tortola, St. Thomas, San Juan and Amber Cove. Our Caribbean and Bahamas guide covers it, and our Royal Caribbean and Carnival guide covers the other lines.
