Philadelphia cruise port parking: the Clarion Hotel lot and free shuttle

There is no passenger parking at the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal. PhilaPort sends drivers to the Clarion Hotel Philadelphia International Airport, 76 Industrial Highway, Essington, with a free shuttle to the terminal. Norwegian's letter of 7 August 2026 put the rate at $16 a day per vehicle, and PhilaPort's page, updated 7 October 2026, says to ask the hotel for current rates.

Cruise parking in Philadelphia means the Clarion Hotel near the airport and a shuttle ride to the ship. PhilaPort's FAQ says there is no passenger parking at the cruise terminal itself, and it sends drivers to the hotel instead.

Before you drive, check that your cruise comes back to Philadelphia. 6 of the 82 sailings on our schedule are one-way and end somewhere else, so your car would still be in Essington.

Is there parking at the Philadelphia cruise terminal?

No. PhilaPort's cruise FAQ says there is no passenger parking at the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal. A driver can drop you and your bags in front of the embarkation area from 9:30 am, but if you are leaving a car for the cruise, you park at the Clarion Hotel and take its free shuttle.

How much is cruise parking in Philadelphia?

Norwegian's letter to guests of 7 August 2026 gave $16 per day, per vehicle, at the Clarion Hotel. PhilaPort's cruise page, updated 7 October 2026, no longer prints a figure and tells you to contact the hotel for current rates. Ask for the rate when you call to pay ahead.

We could not find a cruise parking page on the hotel's own Choice Hotels website on 3 November 2026, so the phone number PhilaPort gives is the way to confirm the price.

Where is the cruise parking lot for the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal?

At the Clarion Hotel Philadelphia International Airport, 76 Industrial Highway, Essington, PA 19029. PhilaPort's FAQ calls the lot Park & Jet Philadelphia at the Clarion Hotel. By OpenStreetMap routing on 3 November 2026, the hotel is 5 to 7 miles by road from the terminal, depending on the direction you drive.

You do not drive on to the terminal yourself. The shuttle covers that leg, both ways. If you are coming on I-95, the terminal guide has the exits PhilaPort gives for the terminal. For the hotel, use its street address.

How do you book cruise parking at the Clarion Hotel?

Call the Clarion Hotel on 610-521-9600, between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, any day of the week. PhilaPort highly recommends paying ahead, as did Norwegian's letter of 7 August 2026. PhilaPort's cruise page also lists an email address for pre-payment.

  • Is booking required? Neither PhilaPort nor Norwegian's August letter says so. Both recommend paying ahead.
  • Online booking. We found no online booking page for the Clarion's cruise parking.
  • On the day. Norwegian's blog post of 14 April 2026, written while check-in was still at the hotel, said pre-paid guests got a parking decal and a dedicated lane, and that others could pay on arrival. The newer pages do not repeat this, so ask how it works when you call.
  • Covered or open lot. No page we read says. Ask the hotel.

Is there a shuttle from the Clarion Hotel to the cruise terminal?

Yes, and it is free. PhilaPort's FAQ says a complimentary shuttle runs between the Clarion Hotel and the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal for guests parking there. On the way home, guests who parked at the Clarion take the same shuttle back to the hotel to collect their cars.

  • Who it is for. PhilaPort describes it as the service for guests parking at the hotel. Everyone else should arrange a rideshare, taxi or private car to the terminal, its FAQ says.
  • When to arrive. PhilaPort asks guests not to arrive before 9:30 am and gives no separate time for the hotel lot. Allow time for parking and the shuttle on top of the check-in window you chose in MyNCL.
  • Timetable. We found no published shuttle schedule. Ask the hotel when you pay.

Can someone drop you off at the cruise terminal?

Yes. PhilaPort says passenger drop-off is directly in front of the embarkation area, for Uber, Lyft, taxis and family or friends. Cars cannot reach the terminal before 9:30 am. Give the driver 4 Atlantic Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19153, and use Entrance A.

For the trip home, PhilaPort uses the same address for pickups. It asks you to wait until you are off the ship with your luggage before you call your driver or request a ride, because there is little space for cars to wait. Disembarkation runs from about 7:00 am to 9:30 am, Norwegian's letter says.

What about parking at Philadelphia International Airport?

You can, but you would still need a taxi or rideshare to the cruise terminal, because the airport's parking shuttles only run to its own terminals. On 3 November 2026 phl.org listed the Economy Lot at $18 a day, flat, against the $16 a day in Norwegian's August letter for the Clarion.

  • Economy Lot. Entrance at 4400 Island Avenue, 4,200 spaces, first come, first served. Free shuttles to the airport terminals run 24 hours a day, and phl.org says the shuttle bus is wheelchair accessible.
  • Garages. $32 for up to 24 hours on the upper levels, on the same page. The height limit is 6 feet 2 inches, and Garage C was closed for upgrades when we checked.
  • The last leg. The airport is about 5 to 6 miles by road from the cruise terminal. The airport guide has the taxi rates.

On these figures we would use the Clarion. It cost less per day in Norwegian's letter, and its shuttle goes to the ship.

Can you park an RV or oversized vehicle?

We found no rule for RVs or oversized vehicles at the Clarion on PhilaPort's or Norwegian's pages, so call the hotel before you drive one there. At the airport, phl.org bars buses, trailers, semis and vehicles over 9,000 pounds gross weight from the Economy Lot.

Is cruise parking in Philadelphia accessible?

PhilaPort's pages do not describe accessible parking spaces or a wheelchair-accessible shuttle at the Clarion, so ask the hotel when you pay. The terminal itself is fully accessible, PhilaPort says, with wheelchair assistance for guests who have requested it and possible waits at busy times.

If a wheelchair user needs to be set down at the door, a drop-off at the terminal avoids the shuttle altogether.

Should you drive to a Philadelphia cruise at all?

Drive if your cruise returns to Philadelphia and you live within reach of the city. Parking is charged per vehicle, so it works out better for a family than for one traveler. If you fly in instead, the airport is a short taxi or ride-app trip from the terminal.

6 sailings on our schedule are one-way: 5 end in Quebec City and 1 in Barcelona. Your car would stay in Essington while you get home from Canada or Spain. Check where yours ends on the schedule or under Canada and New England and Europe, and see the documents guide for a trip that ends abroad.

If you would rather arrive the night before, the hotels guide covers places near the terminal.
