Cruises from Philadelphia in 2026, 2027 and 2028, month by month

Cruise ships leave Philadelphia in every season on the schedule we track. Norwegian Pearl sails to the Caribbean and the Bahamas from November to March and to Bermuda every Thursday from April to August 2027. In 2028 Norwegian Gem takes over the Bermuda trips, and Canada and New England trips leave in September and October of both years.

Every sailing on the schedule is on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship. The table at the end of this guide shows the departures, routes and 7-night fares for each month, and it is rebuilt from the schedule every day.

When is the cruise season in Philadelphia?

All year. On the schedule we track, Norwegian Pearl sails to the Caribbean and the Bahamas in winter, a Norwegian ship sails to Bermuda every Thursday from April to August, and Canada and New England trips leave in September and October. The 2027 season runs from 3 January 2027 to 23 December 2027, and 2028 from 3 January 2028 to 17 October 2028.

Are there cruises from Philadelphia in 2026?

A few, all on Norwegian Pearl in late November and December. Norwegian Jewel's 2026 season from Philadelphia is over. The number of 2026 departures left on the schedule we track is 5, so anyone planning more than a few weeks ahead is looking at 2027.

When we wrote this on 3 November 2026, the 2026 departures were:

• Saturday 21 November: 7 nights to Bermuda, over Thanksgiving, which the Office of Personnel Management lists as 26 November
• Saturday 28 November: 10 nights to Tortola, St. Thomas, San Juan and Puerto Plata
• Tuesday 8 December: 10 nights to the same four ports in reverse order
• Friday 18 December: 5 nights to Bermuda
• Wednesday 23 December: 11 nights to St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Tortola, San Juan and Puerto Plata, back on 3 January 2027

On 3 November 2026 the lowest 2026 fare was $549 per person, two sharing, with taxes and fees included. The holiday cruises page lists the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year sailings, and the last-minute page shows everything leaving in the next 60 days.

What did Norwegian sail from Philadelphia in 2026?

Norwegian Jewel. Her first sailing left for Bermuda on 16 April 2026, the Pennsylvania governor's office said that day. PhilaPort calls these the first cruises from the city in more than 15 years. Norwegian's own release listed Bermuda trips through 27 August and Canada and New England trips from 5 September.

PhilaPort's release of 27 August 2026 said Jewel was sailing from Philadelphia through 26 September 2026. None of her sailings is on our schedule, which lists only departures still to come.

The terminal opened during her season. Norwegian's letter of 7 August 2026 said the new Philadelphia cruise terminal was operational, and PhilaPort held the official ribbon-cutting for the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal on 27 August 2026. Our terminal guide has the address and arrival times.

Norwegian and the governor's office both said Norwegian Pearl would replace Jewel in late 2026 and sail from Philadelphia until April 2028. PhilaPort's August release added that Pearl's voyages run from five to 14 days, to Bermuda, the Caribbean, the Bahamas and Canada and New England.

What cruises leave Philadelphia in 2027?

The schedule we track lists 43 departures in 2027, from 3 January 2027 to 23 December 2027, all on Norwegian Pearl. She sails to the Caribbean and the Bahamas until March, to Bermuda every Thursday from April to August, to Canada and New England in September and October, then back to Bermuda and the Caribbean.

The winter Caribbean trips are 10-night round trips to Tortola, St. Thomas, San Juan and Puerto Plata. The 8-night Bahamas trips in February and March call at two of Nassau, Grand Bahama and Great Stirrup Cay, and at Port Canaveral in Florida. The Caribbean and Bahamas guide compares them.

The Thursday Bermuda trips spend a night docked at the Royal Naval Dockyard and a day in Norfolk. The Saturday trips that start on 30 October skip Norfolk. Cruisebound's itineraries show Pearl staying two nights in Bermuda on the 30 October sailing and one night on the 6 November sailing. In September Pearl sails two 11-night trips by way of Boston, Eastport, Saint John, Halifax, Sydney, Charlottetown and La Baie that end in Quebec City. The Canada and New England guide covers these trips.

From late November her Caribbean trips reach further south, to Antigua, St. Lucia and St. Kitts. On 3 November 2026 the lowest fare in 2027 was $599 per person, two sharing, with taxes and fees included.

What cruises leave Philadelphia in 2028?

The schedule lists 34 departures in 2028, from 3 January 2028 to 17 October 2028. Norwegian Pearl sails the winter Caribbean and Bahamas trips, then leaves Philadelphia on 9 April 2028 on a 14-night voyage to Barcelona. Norwegian Gem sails the Thursday Bermuda trips through August, and Norwegian Dawn the fall Canada and New England trips.

Pearl's 2028 Caribbean trips are 11 and 12 nights and include Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua. Her Barcelona voyage calls at Ponta Delgada in the Azores, Lisbon, Cadiz, Motril, Ibiza, Palma and Marseille, and the Europe page lists it.

PhilaPort's August release announced Gem's seven-day Bermuda and Atlantic Coast voyages from Philadelphia. Her first on the schedule is 20 April 2028, and the Norwegian Gem page lists every date. Dawn's two September trips end in Quebec City, and her October trip returns to Philadelphia.

When we wrote this on 3 November 2026, the last departure listed was Norwegian Dawn's of 17 October 2028. Norwegian is the only line on the schedule, and the Royal Caribbean and Carnival guide covers the nearest ports those lines use.

Are there cruises from Philadelphia every month?

Yes, on the schedule we track. When we wrote this on 3 November 2026, every month from November 2026 to October 2028 had at least one departure. October has the fewest, with 2 in 2027 and 1 in 2028. The Canada and New England trips that fill September and October are 11 nights long, so they leave weeks apart.

The busiest months are the Bermuda months, when a ship leaves every Thursday. Today the last departure listed is 17 October 2028.

Do cruises from Philadelphia sail in hurricane season?

Yes, from June to November. The National Hurricane Center gives the Atlantic hurricane season as 1 June to 30 November, with a peak on 10 September and most activity between mid-August and mid-October. From Philadelphia that covers the summer Bermuda trips, the fall Canada and New England trips and the November sailings.

Sailings that leave between December and May fall outside the official season. The Hurricane Center adds that storms sometimes form before or after the official dates.

What is the weather like for a winter cruise from Philadelphia?

Cold on the way to the port and warm in the islands. NOAA's 1991 to 2020 normals give Philadelphia International Airport an average January high of 41°F and low of 26°F, against 83°F and 72°F at San Juan's airport. Philadelphia averages 7.1 inches of snow in January and 8.4 inches in February.

Which month is cheapest for a cruise from Philadelphia?

We cannot name one. Our fare records are too new to show when fares fall, and each month's low depends on which trips sail in it. When we wrote this on 3 November 2026, the lowest fares on the schedule were in late 2026 and in late April and early May 2027.

On 3 November 2026 the lowest fare was $629 in January 2027, $599 in May 2027 and $839 in August 2027, per person, two sharing, with taxes and fees included. January's trips are 10 nights and May's and August's are 7, so compare the fare per night too.
